STUDENTS’ ATTITUDE TOWARDS TRANSLANGUAGING STRATEGIES IN INDONESIAN ENGLISH LANGUAGE EDUCATION CLASSROOMS

This quantitative investigation delves into the employment of translanguaging strategies within classrooms an English education study program at Indonesian public university. As emerging pedagogical approach in bilingual and multilingual educational settings, encompasses dynamic utilization students' linguistic repertoires to bolster learning communication. seeks explore attitudes towards enactment during their presentation discussion sessions assess its potential impact on experiences. A purposive sample 50 second third-year undergraduate students majoring language study, actively engaged practices presentations discussions, was selected for this study. Data collection entailed administering a survey questionnaire comprising Likert scale items formulated evaluate translanguaging. The gathered data were analyzed employing descriptive statistical techniques. findings reveal that participants exhibit favorable attitude practice sessions. Students reported amplified comprehension subject matter, facilitated communication with peers, cultivated more inclusive diverse environment. study's results suggest integrating can positively experiences foster constructive diversity.
